Warrington Wolves vs Wigan Warriors Preview

This is a repeat of the 2018 grand final and how fortunes have changed in a few short months since Wigan beat the Warrington Wolves to take the Ultimate prize .

Tonight's Game at the Halliwell Jones( Kick off 19.45) see's a Wigan team struggling to hit that type of form but with Joe Greenwood returning for Wigan after a spell out with concussion, along with Dan Sarginson Wigan will be acutely aware of the need to impress.

Boom Wingers Liam Marshall and Dom Manfredi remain injured as does Sam Powell and Taulima Tautai is suspended after that reckless boot in the air challenge against Huddersfield.

The Wolves have looked good this season with Ben Currie easing his way back last week and likely to be more confident with a few games behind him. Kiwi International centre Bryson Goodwin misses out however with an ankle injury.

This is an intriguing game with Warrington Halves Blake Austin and Declan Patton starting to form a good understanding and Ben Murdoch Masila looking like a real threat alongside the ever improving Joe Philbin.
Wigan will need George Williams at his best to take this game and his lack of involvememt in previous games means I can only predict a solid home victory by 14-18 points.

Warrington (from): Atkins, Austin, Charnley, D. Clark, J. Clark, Cooper, Currie, Hill, Hughes, King, Lineham, Mamo, Murdoch-Masila, Patton, Philbin, Ratchford, Tasi, Walker, Westwood.

Wigan (from): Bullock, Clubb, Davies, Escare, Flower, Gildart, Greenwood, Hamlin, Hankinson, Hardaker, Isa, Leuluai, Navarrete, O'Loughlin, Partington, Sammut, Sarginson, Shorrocks, Williams.
