Emerging Nations World Cup Mediterranean Middle East vs Asean RL Regional Championship

Mediterranean Middle East and Asean will finish off their 2018 Emerging Nations World Cup campaign with a 12 O'clock kick off at Windsor, the Mediterranean Middle East poised to complete a clean sweep of points and clinch the Regional Championship title.

Asean picked up their first win of the Emerging Nations World Cup when they played the Latin Heat, picking up a 30-20 victory in a back and forth game that saw Asean eventually prevail. This was easily Asean's best performance of the two, attacking with depth, stubborn defence and improved decision making with both ball in hand and without.

The Mediterranean Middle East side have been the pace setters from the get go, seeing off the Latin Heat side with relative ease, following that up with another superb performance against Africa United to go 2 for 2. While most of the sides to feature in the tournament were all unknown entity's, the Mediterranean Middle East side have been the true surprise package with just the ability in the squad despite players hailing from territory near untouched by the sport.

This is going to be a tough game for both sides, both treating this as their Grand Final and pending the result of the African United vs Latin Heat game, it could well be, Africa United on 2 points, points difference -9, Asean 2 points and a points difference of +2 and Mediterranean Middle East sitting top with 4 points and a +31 points difference meaning a win for Asean by 15 or greater could see them take the title, it's set to be a hell of a battle.
