Emerging Nations World Cup Niue vs Greece Cup Semi Final Preview

Greece take on the latest side to burst onto the Rugby League scene, Niue, the small island nation with just over 1,000 inhabitants is proving the saying quality over quantity if just as applicable in the world of Rugby League, they go head to head in a clash of the titans for a spot in the cup final.

Niue have taken down some very good opposition on their journey to the Semi Finals, Malta and the Philippines falling victim to the giants of Niue, Malta going down 26-16 and the Tamaraws of the Philippines toppling 24-12 in their game. This demanding schedule could take it's toll on this big outfits gas tank, especially with some of the fast feet in the Greek side.

Greece's second place Pool B saw them come up against some equally stiff competition, narrowly losing out to Hungary in their 20-18 epic on the opening day, however, in very difficult circumstances it would be their 38-0 victory over Vanuatu that would book themselves a spot in the Semi Final.

This may be the game of the round looking at the performances these two side have put in over the course of this tournament, crunching tackles, sensational plays and wonder tries coming out of both of these side, this has all the making of a Rugby League epic written all over it, however only one side can progress to the final.
