Emerging Nations World Cup Hungary vs Malta Cup Semi Final

Hungary and Malta will look to seal their place in the big one, the Emerging Nations World Cup Grand Final and a shot at the bragging rights. Hungary have provided some of the tournaments best games, their fixture against Greece proved to be a true Rugby League classic, topping Pool B in the process.

Malta finished up second in their pool after a loss to Niue but a win over the Philippines enough to bring them through to the semi finals. Malta's attacking prowess in particular has been very impressive, the Maltese side definitely knowing where the stripe is having scored 52 points in 2 games against very good opposition.

Hungary's points haul has been a little less fruitful and has seen the Bulls having to hang on by their fingernails in their white knuckle ride of a tournament, defeating Greece by 2 points and Vanuatu by 5 points to give them the lowest points differential of any of the cup qualifying teams but also the  second lowest points conceded at 23.

This game will definitley be a close affair, neither of these sides wants to be competing for 3rd place come October 13th and that will be their driving force and inspiration. These two sides have such similar off the cuff attacking style that's so difficult to read, one mistake could well be the difference between win or lose.
