Emerging Nations World Cup Hong Kong vs Japan RL Bowl Finals Pool

Hong Kong and Japan have an opportunity to open up their tournament account when they play off on Thursday afternoon, both of these sides forced to do it tough and coming out on the receiving end of a few big losses.

A win here for Hong Kong will put them in with a shout of winning the Bowl against the Solomon Islands who currently sit top of the Pool having beaten Japan earlier in the week and picking up their first Emerging Nations win. Hong Kong will look to stick to a similar team and play style when they run out on the 11th.

Japan gave their best showing of what they are capable of when they took on the Solomon Islands, recording a tournament best 22 points in their loss, their performance will no doubt have given them a much needed confidence boost as they have one last opportunity to leave the Emerging Nations with a win under their belt.

This is going to be a really good game from a neutral point of view, two really good ball playing sides that enjoying spreading play and stretching defences where possible. Two sides now given a chance to play some expansive Rugby League against opponents of similar skill level.
