Emerging Nations World Cup Greece vs Hungary 3rd Place Playoff Preview

Greece and Hungary are set to do battle once more but this time with a more lucrative prize than 2 points on offer, 3rd place at the Emerging Nations World Cup, Hungary falling to Malta and Greece losing grasp of an 8-0 lead to come up short against Niue, this both sides last chance to leave their mark on the tournament.

Greece dominated their fixture against Niue for the majority of the game, Niue staging a comeback to snatch a spot in the final. The Greek side have brought us some of the best performances of the tournament, their clinch win against Hungary, the clinic they put on against Vanuatu and finally their tight loss to Niue, all brilliantly entertaining games.

Hungary's games have been won and lost by the narrowest of margins, Greece, won by 2 points, Vanuatu, won by 5 points, Malta, lost by 10 points. Hungary's stats 48 points scored 51 points conceded, all games played against very good opponents and Saturday's game will be no different.

The last time these two met this game had literally everything, late drama, a freakish try and an incredible 80 minute battle on the opening day of the tournament, fitting that these two meet again on the last day to help send the tournament off in style, I for one can't wait for 1:55 PM on Saturday the 13th.
