Emerging Nations World Cup Final Malta vs Niue Preview

2 weeks of blood sweat and tears are about to come to close in an 80 minutes of Rugby League you do not want to miss, the two most dominant sides in the tournament going head to head to see who leaves Australia the Emerging Nations Champion.

Niue ranked 34th in the current rankings and not really expected much of this side, how they have shocked the Rugby League world, beating 26th ranked Greece, 18th ranked Malta and the 27th ranked Philippines, a real underdog story that could become a dream come true for this tiny South Pacific Island.

Malta won all but one of their games throughout the tournament, that one loss coming against Saturday's opponent, Niue, a 26-16 defeat. Malta will no doubt look to get one over in a potential emerging rivalry between the two fantastic ball playing sides.

This will be the most intense game of the weekend for sure, Niue's big men will be firing on all cylinders, Malta's masterminds in the middle will have the hands warmed and ready and we are ready to see 26 men locked in battle for a full 80 minutes of Rugby League, the sport is the winner regardless of the result but both sets of players will settle for nothing less than a win.
