Warrington Wolves vs Huddersfield Giants Super 8's Round 4 Preview

After last weeks tremendous victory over a poor Hull team warrington Wolves make just one change for Friday nights game at the Halliwell Jones (kick off 19.45).

Morgan Smith comes in for Ben Murdoch-Masila as the Wolves name almost an unchanged line up.

For the Giants Oliver Roberts, Daniel Smith , Jake Wardle and the impressive youngster Innes Senior come into a injury hit Huddersfield squad. Aaron Murphy, Dale Ferguson , Darnell McIntosh and Colton Roche all drop out.

For the Wolves kiwi centre Bryson Goodwin will be wanting to add to his magnificent 5 star display from last week but he faces a very much fancied Huddersfield despite their surprisingly heavy defeat by Wakefield last week.

This is a critical 4th v 5th placed game with everything to play for although the Wolves still maintain a six point lead over the giants.

Warrington have the two form wingers in the league at the moment in Josh Charnley and Tom Lineham ( along with Wakefield’s Tom Johnstone) and these two are in blistering form. They are of course up against the class of Jermaine McGillveray and he could be critical for the visitors.

Former international Leroy Cudjoe has shown glimpses of form and Jake Mamo from the back is a real danger.

I’m expecting a closer encounter than the Wolves had last week but anticipate a 10-14 victory for the home team .

Warrington (from): Atkins, K. Brown, Charnley, Clark, Cooper, Goodwin, Hill, Hughes, G. King, T. King, Lineham, Livett, Patton, Philbin, Pomeroy, Ratchford, Roberts, Smith, Thompson
