The Big Day: NRL Grand Final Pump Up

Well here we are! The big dance! The final game of the NRL season and an end to another season gone of this great sport. We’ve seen some incredible moments, and been hit with some downs to forget, but no matter what, we love our sport, and we cheer on our team until it’s time to say goodbye again for another year.
The good old Sunday afternoon grand final. 14 teams have tried, and 14 teams have failed. Just a few weeks ago we said goodbye to 8 fan bases for another year, and we slowly dropped off 2 by 2 until we were left with just the final 2. For us who have said goodbye for another year, we watch this game in marvel and hope for a thriller. For 2 fan bases though, they watch this game with pressure. The nerves take over, the heart beat fluctuates between quick and slow. You have the moments that send you flying off your seat, and then those moments which drops your head into your hands.
The big dance! A day where 1 team will accomplish what 15 others couldn’t. A day where we crown a champion, and a fan base is left in constant party mode until the following March. However where there’s a winner, there must be a loser. A single fan base will be left with the empty feeling of losing. The imaginations of what could of been. While the winners cry in joy, there must be one who cries in loss.

Here we go fans, all year we’ve been fighting for this one day, and only 2 teams have survived to reach this point. We have the Melbourne Storm fighting to go back to back. While the Sydney Roosters will be looking to reign above all again. Can the Storm send Billy Slater off a winner? Or can Cooper Cronk get one over his former team mates and lead his new club to glory?
Grand Final day peeps! Bring it on!
