NRL Finals Preview: Sharks vs Panthers

Match Preview:
After an exciting first round got us up and going for the 2018 finals series, we prepare ourselves for what should be an incredible second round of finals. The first of the two games has the Cronulla Sharks hosting the Penrith Panthers at Allianz Stadium.

The Cronulla Sharks have the home field advantage, but is it really? Once again we are left questioning why the NRL forces the finals games to be held at ANZ or Allianz when they aren't even a central Sydney team. Who wouldn't want a packed out crowd down in Cronulla?! Sadly instead we are left with the Sharks playing their home game in Sydney in what is more like a Panthers home game.

Anyways, we must look at the game to be, and that's the toughest part. I could spend forever talking about why either team can win, but I can't, and truth be told, I am completely lost as to who to pick. The sharks showed a lot of guts last week against the Sydney Roosters and at one point I thought they were a severe chance to beat the Roosters. Sadly for their fans, they did not and here they are this week. The hardest part for them but is dealing with the most inconsistent team in the competition right now, the Panthers.

Penrith have been such a frustrating team to watch wether you support the or not. Whilst they did beat the Warriors last week, it was a battle of the two most inconsistent teams. Did the Panthers really play that well? Or were the Warriors worse than we thought? That's what makes this team so hard to tip, because they can either smash the Sharks or get smashed. SO who wins this? are the Sharks just to big, to strong and way to consistent for the Panthers? Or can we see the versatility and spark of the Panthers catch the Sharks out?

Prediction: Sharks by 4.
I expect an extremely close fight between the two teams. I don't expect to see the lesser of the Panthers two personalities, however i don't expect to see the lesser of the Sharks too. The Panthers will stand up and fight until the very end, but the pure aggression and brutality of the Sharks will be to much to handle.
