Leeds Rhinos vs Widnes Vikings The Qualifiers Round 4 Preview

Widnes make some forced changes for Sunday’s critical game against Leeds Rhinos at the select security stadium ( kick off 3pm)
Charlie Gubb, Sam Wilde, Danny Walker, Owen Buckley and Joe Lyons are all included in the nineteen.
Tom Gilmour, Chris Dean and Gil Dudson all suffered injuries in the nightmare at Toulouse last week and Danny Craven and Matt Whitley also make way.
This is a must win game for a team that really needs to search the memory banks to find their last super league win.
For Leeds Rhinos Stevie Ward is included in the nineteen but there are no places for Carl Ablett and Adam Cuthbertson who are injured and Ashton Golding is not included.
The Rhinos have longer term injuries to Kallum Watkins , Ryan Hall, Brett Delaney , Ash Handley and Mitch Garbutt and they really need a strong performance after that narrow defeat by Hull KR last week.

Kevin Sinfield recalls Jimmy Kleinhorst, Mikolaj Oledski, Cameron Smith and Dom Crosby

You will be hard pressed to find a widnes supporter who will predict a Vikings victory in this game, even though there are some real quality players wearing the home team colours. If Krisnan Inu, Chris Houston,Joe Mellor, and Lloyd White all found form at the same time this would be a difficult game for a depleted Leeds team

The Vikings of course inflicted an embarrassing defeat on Leeds early season with a 23-8 victory, but that win is nothing more than a distant memory. The Vikings are also missing several long term injuries with Olly Ashall Bott the biggest loss.

Surely the home team will fight all the way in this game and make it a really close game.It will however be very difficult to turn the tide of defeat and I expect Leeds to run out winners by 12-16 points
