Huddersfield Giants vs Wigan Warriors Super 8's Round 6 Preview

Having won six games on the run, visitors Wigan will be firm favourites to take the spoils as they visit the John Smith stadium this Thursday ( 19.45 kick off) This is also the last game in a Huddersfield shirt for the ever reliable Ryan Hinchcliffe as he completes his Giants career after 88 appearances. Hinchcliffe has been a key figure for Huddersfield as they found form and proved to be a highly capable team and the future looks bright under coach Simon Woolford. He makes three changes to the team beaten heavily by Castleford Tigers last week. Jon Luke Kirby at just 19 makes his way into the squad along with Alex Mellor and Young Olly Russell. For the giants Daniel Smith and Jordan Turner make way. Wigan will be without Willie Isa for the rest of the season with a broken collar bone and Ben Flower are also out .Joe Greenwood and Josh Wood step into the nineteen as more than capable replacements. After a decent season the Giants will be looking to put a stop to their three game losing run, but Wigan are highly motivated right now as victory would earn them a home semi final spot. To seal that home semi final I’m taking Wigan to win by 12-16 points with Tomkins, Bateman and Leuluai all to the fore. Huddersfield Giants (from): Mamo, Gaskell, Brough, Leeming, Lawrence, Hinchcliffe, Rankin, Roberts, Ta'ai, Clough, O'Brien, Mellor, Roche, English, Hewitt, Senior, Russell, Kirby, Matagi. Wigan Warriors (from): Bateman, Clubb, Davies, Escare, Gildart, Greenwood, Hamlin, Leuluai, Manfredi, Navarrete, Paisely, Partington, Powell, Sarginson, Sutton, Tautai, Tomkins, Woods
