Preview:
Penrith and New Zealand open Saturday with a cracker in Sydney.

A few weeks ago the Warriors put the Panthers to the sword over at Mt. Smart Stadium but this is finals football and anything can happen this week.

The Panthers got a timely win against a heavily depleted Melbourne side in Melbourne last week which will be a boost to their confidence.

The Warriors are in pretty good form as of late with wins over Panthers and Raiders the past couple weeks.

Main Key Match Up: James Maloney v Blake Green
James Maloney and Blake Green are huge keys to their teams fortunes this week as hey have been throughout the 2018 season.

James Maloney has steered Penrith around well this season and is showing consistently why he is a valuable addition to their line up. He brings some x-factor and takes he pressure of young Nathan Cleary’s shoulders.

Blake Green has also taken pressure off the Warriors halfback in Shaun Johnson. Previous season have hinged on Johnson’s form but this season Green has entered the frame and has taken the play making reigns which allows Johnson to do what he does best and play a bit of an ad lib style of football.

Prediction: Warriors by 4
Unfortunately I think Penrith will be the first side eliminated from the 2018 finals series. Warriors are in good form and seem to be gearing up for a big finals campaign where Penrith stumbled into the finals and only just beat a heavily depleted Storm side last week.
