Castleford Tigers vs Catalans Dragons Super 8's Round 3 Preview

The Challenge cup holders visit the Mend a hose stadium today ( kick off 7.30) fresh from that outstanding success at Wembley Stadium .last week their defensive line was incredible but can they back that up two weeks on the run.
The French are missing Jason Baitieri and Fouad Yaha through injury with Michael Mcillorum and Michael Simon rested after that incredible physical effort against Warrington Wolves. Greg Bird returns from his suspension and this tough old campaigner will be looking to drive the Dragons to victory.

Castleford have a relatively good home record undefeated in four of their last five games. That record will be enhanced no end with the return of Luke Gale, Ben Roberts and Adam Milner. With these three quality players on the field Castleford look real class. Jamie Ellis , and exciting youngsters Kieran Gill and Callum Turner make way.

Catalan are in 8th spot and can’t qualify for the semi finals so I’m expecting Castleford to play all out rugby league. With Peter Matu’utia , Greg Eden , Michael Shenton and Luke Gale in the backs they will have some superb combinations.

This should be a 24-28 victory for the Tigers in front of an expectant home crowd.

Catalans season has been turned around in style so don’t expect them to throw the towel in too early.

Castleford from Clare, Clark, Eden, Gale, Holmes, Maher, Massey, Mata’utia, McMeeken, McShane, Millington, Milner, Moors, Roberts, Shenton, Trueman, Wardle, Watts, Webster

Catalan from  Albert, Belmas, Bird, Bousquet, Casty, Da Costa, Drinkwater, Duport, Edwards, Garcia, Gigot, Goudemand, Jullien, Langi, Margalet, Mead, Moa, Tierney,
