Wigan Warriors vs Castleford Tigers Round 1 Super 8's Preview

This could well be the game of the weekend at the DW stadium this Friday ( 19.45), as Wigan welcome back George Williams and Ryan Sutton to their nineteen man squad. Academy prop forward Oliver Partington looks set for his debut in place of the suspended Taulima Tautai whilst the impressive Chris Hankinson has picked up an unfortunate injury . For Castleford Joe Wardle,Jake Webster and Will Maher are included, with Peter Matu’utia missing with a damaged hamstring . The Tigers were in superb form last week when they ran amok against a poor Widnes defence but Wigan’s pack will be able to give them a far greater challenge Tony Clubb, Ben Flower and John Bateman are tough customers and wingers Liam Marshall and Tom Davies will be looking to add to their seasons tally . With Jake Trueman, Paul McShane and Adam Milner the Tigers will have three key players to match the home team and the tenacity of Clubb and Flower with by matched by Liam Watts, Mike McKeekan and junior Moors. This is a tough game to call but the more I look at the Castleford pack the more I expect them to take this game by 6-10 points. A lot will depend on George Willian’s for wigan but the ultimate decider May come from one of the flying wingmen in this game Wigan (from): Bateman, Clubb, Davies, Escare, Flower, Greenwood, Hamlin, Isa, Kibula, Leuluai, Marshall, Navarrete, Partington, Powell, Sarginson, Sutton, Tomkins, Williams, Woods. Castleford (from): Clare, Clark, Eden, Ellis, Gill, Holmes, Laulu-Togaga'e, Maher, Massey, McMeeken, McShane, Milner, Moors, Sene-Lefao, Shenton, Trueman, Wardle, Watts, Webster.
