Warriors continue Dragons woes

Warriors defeat Dragons 18-12.

The Dragons are starting to stutter while the Warriors are also flirting with he edge of the 8 and a couple more losses could see them drop out. So this match is particularly important for both sides to get he 2 points to stay in the 8.

The opening points came through the courtesy of a Warriors Penalty Goal. 2-0.

In the 29th minute the Dragons lost their fullbacks Matt Dufty to the sin bin and not long after the Warriors centre Solomone Kata went over the try line and with Shaun Johnson converting they pushed out to a 8-0 lead.

Not long later the Warriors crafty number 9 Isaac Luke went over and Johnson converted the 4 pointer giving the Warriors a handy 14-0 lead.

On the stroke of halftime Solomone Kata collected a double in the corner but Shaun Johnson was unable to convert the try and the Warriors would hold a solid 18-0 lead at the halftime break.

The Dragons opened the second half in the right fashion when they forced a Warriors error and in the next set Cameron McInness crashed over and Widdop converts to shorten the Warriors lead 18-6.

A couple minutes later Luciano Leilua scores for the Dragons and Widdop converts. Warriors 18-12.

The Warriors managed to hold the Dragons out a few times and hold on to win 18-12
