Toulouse Olympique vs Halifax RLFC The Qualifiers Round 2 Preview

Two sides that were not expected to take much from last week's fixtures go head to head, both sides giving a more than valid account of themselves in their respective fixtures, Toulouse taking Leeds into the half just 2 points behind before losing their grasp on the game, Halifax holding their own against the Wolfpack and losing out 14-0 in the end.

Toulouse took the win on both occasions in 2018, the away leg for Toulouse a much tighter game at 19-14, the home leg however a very different story, Toulouse storming home 38-6 in that game.

Toulouse make two changes to the side that took on Leeds last week, Arthur Romano and Sebastien Planas replacing Eddy Pettybourne and Tony Maurel for the French outfit. For Halifax Dan Fleming and Brandon Douglas return to the squad whilst new loan signing Liam Cooper features in the squad for the first time since his move from St Helens.

Toulouse Olympique: Bastien ADER, William BARTHAU, Charles BOUZINAC, Clément BOYER, Joe BRETHERTON, Bastien CANET, Chris CENTRONE,  Johnathon FORD, Tyla HEPI, Mark KHEIRALLAH, Paul MARCON, Anthony MARION, Constantine MIKA, Sébastien PLANAS, Maxime PUECH, Sam RAPIRA, Stanislas ROBIN, Arthur ROMANO, Paul SÉGUIER.

Halifax RLFC: Jordan Baldwinson, Chester Butler, Liam Cooper, Brandon Douglas, Jacob Fairbank, Dan Fleming, Shane Grady, Simon Grix, Ben Heaton, Ben Johnston, Ben Kaye, Brandon Moore, Elliot Morris, Kieren Moss, Scott Murrell, James Saltonstall, Will Sharp, Steve Tyrer, James Woodburn-Hall.

I'm backing Toulouse to take the win in this game, they looked very good against Leeds last week and know that there is a potential Super League spot for them if they can push teams like they did last week, they also hold the home advantage in this one, I'm giving this to Toulouse by 13+ points.
