Match Preview: A big game here for the Dragons as the pressure is being piled up on them for a top 4 finish. The Dogs have been playing some pretty incredible footy since losing Mbye and Woods, and the all or nothing style of play is what is working for them, and a reason as to why they could be a serious threat against the Dragons this weekend.

While the Dragons come off a much needed win last week, it was a very sloppy performance by their opposition, and the recent results for the Dragons still don’t have fans backing them in. With the Broncos victory last night, the Dragons simply need to win this one if they want a second chance match up week 1 of the finals. Although the Dragons play some bottom teams to finish it off, it’s always a dangerous aspect when you’re playing against teams with just pride to play for, the pressure can catch you out, and the expectations can become to much. This is simply a must win game if the Dragons want that 4th place finish.

The Bulldogs are a really big feel good story this year for me. Cap problems, management problems, shedding star players problems. They’ve had the opportunity to find a shining star in Lachlan Lewis, and last week he was the drive to beating the Warriors, and boy isn’t he a star in the making. The effort has been lifted, the intensity has risen, and the playing group simply want to turn up for eachother and their fans, they don’t want that wooden spoon. The Dragons will be desperate, and the Bulldogs will need to be ready for it, but if they play how they did last week, they can knock off the Dragons.

Prediction: Bulldogs by 4. Just can’t go past the Dogs right now. They are up in the energy category and it’s showing in results. This is a good opportunity for them to show their fans what 2019 can hold.
