Hull FC vs Wakefield Trinity Round 1 Super 8's Preview

Hull bring back the much respected Dean Hadley and Chris Green for Friday Nights encounter at the KCOM stadium with a 19.45 kick off. Jezz Litten and Jack Downs step down from the nineteen . For Wakefield Anthony England is back into the squad replacing joe Arundel and what an intriguing game this is . Hull will be looking to see a return to form for Josh Griffin and Mark Sneyd, whilst the forward pack have missed a dominant Liam Watts since he signed with Castleford Tigers. Coach Lee Radford has been plagued by injuries in recent months and Jake Connor, joe Westerman and josh Bowden will be out for the rest of the season with Albert Kelly also unlikely to feature. With a substantial set of players not available it’s no surprise that Hull have produced below Par performances in several recent games. In Scott Taylor, Butch Faraimo and Danny Houghton however they have some quality to threaten any team. Wakefield Trinity are in many ways unheralded and perhaps dark horses over the next few weeks. They have the fortune of an explosive back line and Tom Johnstone and Ben Jones Bishop have been outstanding this year. Ex Hull man Reece Lyne has also proved himself to be a high quality centre and his selection for the England Knights squad highlights his seasons performances . Wakefield also have the services of two of the best impact forwards in super league in Pauli Pauli and David Fifita . Jacob Miller and Tyler Randall will be directing this trinity team around the pitch and I expect them to have too much guile and speed for a hull team trying to find some form . I expect Wakefield to take this game by 14-18 points . Hull FC (from): Shaul, Faraimo, Tuimavave, Griffin, Talanoa, Sneyd, Taylor, Houghton, Hadley, Minichiello, Green, Abdull, Washbrook, Fash, Manu, Paea, Lane, Matongo, Harris. Wakefield (from): Annakin, Arona, Ashhurst, Batchelor, England, Fifita, Hampshire, Hirst, Horo, Huby, Johnstone, Jones-Bishop, Jowitt, Lyne, Miller, Pauli, Randell, Tupou, Wood.
