Eels thrash terrible Dragons


Eels defeat Dragons 40-4
With Dragons on the edge of the top 4 and Eels at the foot of the table desperate to get off it, this match held a lot of importance for both sides.

The opening try came off the back of a quick tap and a long ball from Mitchell moses for Jarryd Hayne to stroll over and score. Moses failed to convert from the sideline and Eels lead 4-0.

Jarryd Hayne copped a stray boot to the face not long after and it split his chin right open.

The Eels would score again through Hayne after a nice set started off a dummy half run Fromm Reed Mahoney. Mitch Moses converts and Eels lead 10-0.

The penalty count mounted and mounted against the Dragons and Cameron McInness was sent to the sin bin for a professional foul.

Off the back of a scrum Moses passed short to George Jennings who bustled up ge middle to score a nice try in the 29th minute and Moses converts to give the Eels a handy 16-0 lead.

In the 36th minute Jarryd Hayne scores his 3rd Try off a Jaeman Salmon bomb. Mitch Moses converted and have the Eels a 22-0 halftime lead.

Halftime Eels lead 22-0.

Early in the second half he Dragons started strongly and scored a Try through Lunciano Leilua off a Hunt kick but Hunt was unable to convert. Eels lead 22-4.

Wasn’t long till the Eels scored again when Clinton Gutherson swooped on a deft Moses kick. Moses then converted from in front. Eels lead 28-4.

Mitch Moses cut right through the Dragons defence after he shaped to kick but scored a great individual try and converted to give the Eels a 34-4 lead.

The last try came off some razzle dazzle from Parramatta that Siosaia Vave started and finished off with a try. Moses converted to give the Eels a big 40-4 win.
