Warrington Wolves vs Catalans Dragons Super League Round 21 Preview

Warrington host one of Super League's most in-form sides in the Catalans Dragons, the Wolves looking to move to third if results go their way, while Catalans look to secure a spot in the top 8 and avoid the dreaded bottom 4.

Catalans have a historically poor record against Warrington, after March's 26-0 loss the Dragons have lost 8 of the last 10 meetings between these two sides, the only two Catalans wins in the last 4 seasons came in France, leaving them with a mountain to climb in this away fixture.

Warrington have drafted in the experienced Ben Pomeroy and the youthful try scoring forward, Harvey Livett, both more than welcome editions to the Warrington fans, Dominic Crosby and Morgan Smith making way for their inclusion. Steve McNamara names an unchanged 19 from the team picked to play Wakefield, the man in charge clearly displaying faith in his squad.

Warrington Wolves: Sitaleki Akauola, Kevin Brown, Mitch Brown, Josh Charnley, Daryl Clark, Mike Cooper, Bryson Goodwin, Chris Hill, Jack Hughes, George King, Toby King, Tom Lineham, Harvey Livett, Declan Patton, Joe Philbin, Ben Pomeroy, Stefan Ratchford, Tyrone Roberts, Ben Westwood

CatalansDragons: David MEAD, Brayden WILIAME, Fouad YAHA, Samisoni LANGI, RĂ©mi CASTY, Sam MOA, Louis ANDERSON, Benjamin GARCIA, Greg BIRD, Julian BOUSQUET, Mika SIMON, Jason BAITIERI, Michael McILORUM, Lewis TIERNEY, Benjamin JULLIEN, Tony GIGOT, Mickael GOUDEMAND, Josh DRINKWATER, Kenny EDWARDS

This will certainly be a game to watch, after the fiery affair between these two back in March that saw 4 players sent to the sin bin, that will no doubt be fresh in the memories of both players. I'm backing Warrington by 7-12 points in what looks to me like one of the games of the round.
