Match Preview.
The South Sydney Rabbitohs are hosting the table dwelling Parramatta Eels in an important match to help define both teams run home for the 2018 season.

The Rabbitohs are coming off a hugely disappointing loss to the Wests Tigers. A game in which they lacked the energy and intensity, but also a game in which their offence proved to be very one dimensional. This lost cost them not only 1st place, but put them in serious risk of dropping out of the top 4. The Rabbitohs will require a massive lift from last weekend if they want to finish within that top for, and it’ll have to start against a desperate Eels fighting to avoid the spoon, one of the most dangerous games any team can play.

Parramatta had a much needed win against the Bulldogs last week. A game that saw them put pressure on the Bulldogs and Cowboys for the wooden spoon. The Eels will be desperate to avoid the wooden spoon, and the Rabbitohs are a must win game for them if they wish to push themselves out of the wooden spoon race. With the year coming to an end and the race heating up, can the Eels ignite a late season flurry and move up the ladder and out of the spoon race.

Prediction: Rabbitohs by 10.
I’m tipping Souths to grab the win in this one. Although the Eels are desperate, the Rabbitohs will be more desperate to keep themselves in the top 4 and keep in the race for the minor premiership.

-Blake.
