Match Preview

The Bulldogs and the Tigers do battle out at Homebush tonight in the second game of Friday night football, with plenty at stake for both teams. The Dogs are coming off what can only be described as a poor and scrappy loss against the Parramatta Eels, and will be looking to take the points tonight so they can stay away from the wooden spoon for at least another week. The Tigers did what they had to do last week, winning to ensure that they stay within a sniffing chance of making finals football. With the Broncos winning last night, the Tigers need to win to ensure that they stay within said sniffing chance.

Key Match Up - Moses MBye vs Will Hopoate

Moses Mbye comes up against his old club for the first time this week, after playing his last match at Belmore Sportsground just a month ago. Since his arrival, he has been rather lethal running out the back of the Tigers attack.
His replacement at fullback was Hopoate, who has been great without being spectacular for the Dogs. He is by far the biggest attacking threat with the young halves combination at the moment, and will need to shine in order to cause an upset this weekend.

Prediction

It is pretty hard to tell which Bulldogs team will turn up this week, with the club wanting to prove a point after last week. In saying that, they did not look like scoring at all against the Eels. The Tigers have one of the best defensive records in the league and it would take a tough Dogs team to get through multiple times tonight. That won't happen, and the Tigers will get up.

Tigers 24-10
