Match Preview.
The Gold Coast Titans are coming off a massive performance to beat the Tigers at Leichhardt Oval and ruin their finals chances. They’ll be looking to back up that performance in a QLD big brother vs little brother match up as they take on their big bro club in the Brisbane Broncos.

The Broncos won the most important game of their season so far to go 6 points clear of ninth place. Down 16-0 at half time, they fought back hard to defeat the Raiders at home and all but certify their place in the 2018 finals series. A resilient Titans team still believes they are a chance for finals, and the Broncos will need to be wary of that.

Key Match Up: Engine room battle!
My key match up for this game is the battle of the forwards, in particular the props! We know both sets of young halves can work their magic, and both have an incredibly talented back line, however both forward packs have been known to be inconsistent in 2018.

The team that has their forward pack turn up on the day will win this battle in my opinion. The home side were spectacular up front against the Tigers last week, and it was the forwards alone that won them that game, in particular Ryan James who was phenomenal!

The Broncos on the other hand don’t have any serious stand outs, but as a team have shown more consistency this season compared to their little brother team. Off the back of a massive comeback performance last week, this pack will be looking to carry it on into this game, however can they overcome the confidence the Titans big boys got last weekend? Let’s find out!

Stonecold’s Prediction: Broncos by 10.
I see this being a close game, but the Broncos taking home the points. They will want to dismiss any competition from the Titans for their finals spot, and with some serious confidence needed to win the Premiership from the position they are in, they’ll want to continue their roll on into September, and the Titans are in their way.
