Hull Kingston Rovers vs Salford Red Devils Super Leaue Round 20 Preview

The Robins will be full of confidence after last week's win over the Giants, moving them within 5 points of 8th spot in the closing stages of the season. Salford suffered another multiple blows against Warrington last week, the first is obviously the loss and the second is covering fullback Jack Littlejohn suffering a ruptured bicep, the injury season ending and leaving Salford without another key player.

Salford claimed the win in this seasons reverse fixture back in February, a 36-12 win 3 out of 6 of Salford's tries were scored by players who are now unavailable or have left, O'Brien gone and Evalds missing through injury. How much of an impact will have on the outcome of this game could be one of the crucial factors.

The Rovers will have to wait a little while longer to field new signing, Todd Carney, as they announced his arrival late this week, they have however made 2 enforced changes, Clarkson and Jewitt battling injury and illness, replaced by Will Dagger and Will Oakes. Salford make 4 changes all in all, Greg Johnson, Josh Jones, Levy Nzoungou and Tyrone McCarthy returning, while the Red Devils are without; Craig Kopczak, Jack Littlejohn and Kris Welham are amongst the walking wounded.

Hull Kingston Rovers: Adam Quinlan, Junior Vaivai, Ryan Shaw, Danny McGuire, Nick Scruton, Shaun Lunt, Mose Masoe, Maurice Blair, James Greenwood, Ben Kavanagh, James Donaldson, Tommy Lee, Robbie Mulhern, Liam Salter, Chris Atkin, Will Oakes, Will Dagger, Danny Tickle, Joel Tomkins.

Salford Red Devils: Greg Johnson, Junior Sa'u, Robert Lui, Logan Tomkins, Josh Jones, Mark Flanagan, Lama Tasi, Ryan Lannon, Tyrone McCarthy, Ben Nakubuwai, Josh Wood, Derrell Olpherts, Lee Mossop, Jake Bibby, Levy Nzoungou, Daniel Murray, Jake Shorrocks, Ed Chamberlain, Greg Burke.

I'm backing the Robins to win this one, Salford's injuries have mounted up too much at this point, on top of that Hull KR come into this game with their tails up after last week's win and news reinforcements are coming, I'm going Rovers by 13+.
