Hull FC vs Hull KR Super League Round 23 Preview

The Hull derby to close the regular season for these two sides, finishing in very different positions, Hull KR ready to face yet another gut wrenching run in the Middle 8's against very difficult opposition, Hull FC now determined to close a gaping 7 point gap between 4th and 5th.

Hull FC are 2 for 2 against their red and white neighbours in 2018, claiming both the Magic Weekend win and the regular round win, now looking to claim yet qanother year of clean sweeps i n the derby games as Hull KR look for their first derby win since the 2014 season.

Hull welcome back a fan favourite in Josh Griffin, the centre out since the Nagic Weekend with a knee injury, Sika Manu returns froma 3 game ban and Jez Litten and Mark Minichiello both make returns from knocks. The Robins recall Junior Vaivai to the squad after he passed a late fitness test, Lee Jewitt also coming back to the loss of Tommy Lee and Justin Carney, who both are carrying injuries from last week's game.

Hull FC:  Jamie Shaul, Bureta Faraimo, Carlos Tuimavave, Josh Griffin, Fetuli Talanoa, Marc Sneyd, Scott Taylor, Danny Houghton, Mark Minichiello, Jordan Abdull, Danny Washbrook, Brad Fash, Sika Manu, Jez Litten, Mickey Paea, Jordan Lane, Jack Downs, Masi Matongo, Liam Harris.

Hull KR: Adam Quinlan, Junior Vaivai, Danny McGuire, Nick Scruton, Shaun Lunt, Mose Masoe, Maurice Blair, James Greenwood, Ben Kavanagh, Lee Jewitt, James Donaldson, Chris Clarkson, Robbie Mulhern, Liam Salter, Chris Atkin, Will Oakes, Danny Tickle, Elliot Wallis, Joel Tomkins.

I'm backing a win for the Black and White's in this game, they have still named a strong squad and are taking no risks against a side that has shown they have an upset or two in them, in my personal opinion FC have more riding on this game than KR do due to the fact that they are playing catch up and this edge will only intensify the passion of the game, Hull FC by 7-12 for me.
