Wigan Warriors vs Leeds Rhinos Super League Round 19 Preview

Not many people would have imagined that these two sides would meet on the back of a real dip in form, Leeds looking for their first win in 5 games. The Warriors went from losing just 2 games in 13 games to now having lost 4 of their last 5 as unrest in the camp intensifies.

In terms of recent meetings, these two sides are currently tied on 2 wins each in their last 4 meetings, the Warriors claiming the most recent victory back in round 11 of the 2018 season, the win at Headingley came by a single point. Both sides are in desperate need of a win to try and get themselves out of their current slump.
Wigan are to offer a debut to new signing Joe Greenwood, they are also bolstered by the return of veteran forward Liam Farrell as he returns from injury. Leeds welcome back a host of first team players, Hall returning from international duties and Myler passed a concussion test and Singleton returns from hand injury to help ease the Rhinos injury problems slightly.

Leeds Rhinos: Ashton Golding, Tom Briscoe, Liam Sutcliffe, Ryan Hall, Joel Moon, Richie Myler, Adam Cuthbertson, Matt Parcell, Brad Singleton, Brad Dwyer, Mitch Garbutt, Brett Ferres, Ash Handley, Jack Ormondroyd, Jack Walker, Cameron Smith, Mikolaj Oledzki, Josh Walters, Luke Briscoe.

This fixture always has a habit of being unpredictable, which makes the task of picking a winner incredibly difficult. Leeds have been too inconsistent through the entire 80 minutes for the season so far, leading me to believe that this may be a Wigan win so I'm backing the Warriors to take it by 7-12 points.
