Sharks win in the wet against the Tigers

The Sharks hosted the Tigers in the wind and rain with Tigers making a bunch of late changes. Luke Lewis denied by the bunker for the first points of the game, with the Tigers eventually getting first points through a penalty. The sharks squaring the score up in the 10th minutes. The penalty goals continued with Tigers taking a 2 point lead before they eventually got the first try of the match with Taylor barging over from hooker. With the conversion the Tigers lead 10-2 after 22.

The tigers chee kam was binned with 7 minutes to go in the first half after a professional foul was ruled on the tigers line but Chee Kam didnt touch a sharks defender in one of, if not the worst reffing decision of the year.

Sharks crossed first in the second half with gallen carrying a handful of tigers defenders over the line and with the Townsend conversion it was a 2 point game with 10 minutes to go.

The Sharks went the length of the field not long after to take the lead with Gallen passing the ball to Holmes after collecting a kick who went almost the length of the field untouched. With the conversion the sharks lead 14-10 with 25 left.

The tries continued for the sharks this time it was Lee going over in corner after a moylan cut out pass. Townsend missed the goal resulting in the sharks holding an 8 point lead with 20 to go.

Poor defence from Chad Townsend resulted in Lolohea scoring a try for the Tigers next to the posts after Lawrence hit a hole and drawing in the full back perfectly. Masters converted the try resulting in the Tigers down by 2. But that's as close as the Tigers got.

Ramien crossed for the sharks with less than 5 on the clock to secure the win after some soft defence from the Tigers with Townsend conversion giving the sharks 24-16 Victory.
