Salford Red Devils vs Widnes Vikings Super League Round 18 Preview

The Vikings welcome back some much needed experience for their "win at
all costs" game at Salford on Thursday evening (Kick off 19.45). Chris
Houston and Alex Gerrard will add some Bulk and size, but suprisingly
no place for fans faviuorite Wellington Albert or the Brilliant young
Hooker Danny Walker. Instead Coach Francis Cummins opts for another
young giant in the 6 foot 4 inch Dan Norton, at least recognising the
need for more size in the pack .Leuluai and Wilde make Way.

Salford meanwhile are also on the back on a 6 match losing streak have
former widnes players Ed Chamerlain and Greg Burke looking to make
their debut. For the Red Devils versatile forwards Mark Flanagan misses
out due to concussion and Josh Jones also out Injujured with an ankle
injury.

At halfback Lui and Littlejohn will perhaps have a little too much
guile for a widnes back line which has failed to consistently produce
in the recent Month. Kopcak, Griffin and Tasi should edge it in the
forwards for the Red devils but this should be a very tight game with
the end result dependant on who can make the least mistakes.

Expect Salford to Target Ah Van and ince on the Wings for Widnes, and
keep an eye out for the ex Newcastle Thunder threequarter Darren
Olpherts who has been impressive recently.
