Round 10 Preview: Manly vs Brisbane

Manly Sea Eagles v Brisbane Broncos
Suncorp Stadium
Saturday 12th of May

The final Saturday match for round 10 sees Manly take a home game to Brisbane to play the Broncos. If a side needed a home game advantage right now it would be Manly and moving this game just for money could bite them on the backside.

Manly are coming off a tight loss to the Roosters in a match that proved they are willing to fight even with everything stacked up against them, whilst the Broncos are coming off a win that many football fans believe was handed to them on a silver platter.

Team lists:
Sea Eagles: 1 Tom Trbojevic, 2 Matthew Wright, 3 Moses Suli, 4 Brian Kelly, 5 Akuila Uate, 6 Dylan Walker, 7 Daly Cherry-Evans (c), 8 Addin Fonua-Blake, 9 Apisai Koroisau, 10 Martin Taupau, 11 Joel Thompson, 12 Shaun Lane, 13 Jake Trbojevic

T. Trbojevic vs Boyd

The battle of the fullbacks will be an interesting one as both players this season have been well down on what is considered their best football which has now put both of them potentially out of an Origin jersey.

Thats being said both players have had moments of brilliance this season and it wouldn't come as a surprise if we see something amazing happen tonight, especially from Tom as this was the game last year that he injured himself and missed out on representing New South Wales.

J. Trbojevic vs Pangai Junior

The battle of the locks will be a belter. It's not often Jake has a bad game even when Manly lose he still has a habit of being one of if not the best on field. For Pangai Junior the injury to McGuire has given him the chance for more minutes and he's taken that opportunity with both hands showing the rugby league World just how good he can be.

I'm expecting both players to not only chew up the metres through the middle of the ground but lead their sides in defence. It would come as no surprise if one of these two had a hand in a match winning play for their side tonight.

Cherry-Evans vs Milford

The origin outcasts have had a rollercoaster season that's had more lows than highs too day the least. Both players will be expected to lead their side to victory tonight as they play infront of their home state.

Neither player looks to have a spot in origin 1 in the coming weeks, but a key part in a victory tonight could go a long way to a potential jersey later in the series depending on results and injuries.

You know a side cares more about money than 2 competition points when they move a home game to the home ground of the opposition.
