Red Star Belgrade vs Rhodes Knights Preview

A historic game that now has a little extra meaning for Red Star, the unfortunate news broke earlier in the week that Head Coach, Trev Smith, was to depart the club after the upcoming fixture for health reasons came as a huge shock and will definitely be in the minds of the players in the run up to this game. Coach Smith currently has a 100% record since joining Red Star back in February of this year and he will be looking to leave with that percentage still intact.

Rhodes pose a huge threat and should not be taken lightly, after all they are the Greek Champions, setting this game up to be a battle of Champions. The Knights are also a team made up predominantly of the Greek International side, adding to the upcoming challenge. This game will be Red Star's second game of the season in the Balkan Super League after hammering the Bilgi Badgers 110-0, for Rhodes however this is their first game, due to groups being made of 3 teams.

Its been raining on and off over the last 24 hours and if it is raining come kick off, we just need to control the ball and be smart with it complete our sets, and have the right attitude in defense and hopefully by doing that we will come away with the win and top the table in our group.
