Rabbitohs put the Knights to the sword

Rabbitohs defeat Knights 36-18

The Rabbitohs after a loss to the Broncos last week were looking to start this match in the right fashion and that is exactly what they did racing out to a 12-0 lead in the opening 5 minutes with tries through Robert Jennings and Cody Walker.

The Knights hit back quick with a try to winger Shaun Kenny-Dowall.

Young Rabbitohs winger Campbell Graham put the away side ahead again 16-4 but the Knights fought back before the halftime break with 2 tries in 5 minutes through Sione Mata’utia and Shaun Kenny-Dowall getting a first half double. Unfortunately for Newcastle all Conversion attempts were missed and they trailed 16-12 at the break.

The Knights bombed a Try in the opening few minutes of the second half with Ponga throwing a perfect pass to Sio who strolled over and dropped the ball and the Rabbitohs replied straight away with a try to Ex-Knight Dane Gagai.

It was all Souths from there on with Cook slicing through the Knights defence to score a great try.

After a couple of penalty goals Rabbitohs lead 32-12

Knights would go in again through Fitzgibbon off a good ball from Kalyn Ponga.

Souths finished the game off with a try to Greg Inglis.
