Castleford Tigers vs Leeds Rhinos Magic Weekend Preview

Castleford vs Leeds is a game that never fails to disappoint, there have been some fantastic match ups between these two sides in recent years and Saturday looks set to be no different.5th vs 6th as Castleford look to recover from their loss to Saints, Leeds also coming into this fixture off the back of a loss, a defeat at Headingley to Warrington.

A win for Castleford on Saturday evening would see the Tigers improve their ever-growing record against the Rhinos, Leeds winning just 1 of the last 5 meetings against Castleford. Included in the losses is round 7's horror show performance that saw Leeds 20-0 down after just 20 minutes, although they made an admirable comeback, the Tigers would run out 25-24 winners.

Castleford Kieran Gill in their squad, he replaces Gadwin Springer and looks set to make his return to first team action after a lengthy lay-off through injury. The Rhinos welcome back veteran forward Brett Delaney and England winger Ryan Hall, they are still without Liam Sutcliffe due to injury.
Castleford Tigers: Matt Cook, Jamie Ellis, Alex Foster, Kieran Gill, Jy Hitchcox, Oliver Holmes, Nathan Massey, Mike McMeeken, Paul McShane, Grant Millington, Adam Milner, Greg Minikin, Junior Moors, Jesse Sene-Lefao, Michael Shenton, Jake Trueman, Joe Wardle, Liam Watts, Jake Webster

Leeds Rhinos: Ashton Golding, Tom Briscoe, Kallum Watkins, Ryan Hall, Joel Moon, Richie Myler, Adam Cuthbertson, Matt Parcell, Jamie Jones-Buchanan, Carl Ablett, Stevie Ward, Brad Dwyer, Brett Delaney, Brett Ferres, Nathaniel Peteru, Ash Handley, Jack Walker, Cameron Smith, Mikolaj Oledzki.

This looks lined up to be a really tight fixture, both sides missing key players but still fielding strong squads. I'm going to back the Rhinos to grab their first Magic Weekend win since 2013, Castleford's injury woes have not eased in recent weeks and without the guidance of Gale they are a different squad, I'm backing the Rhinos by 7-12 points.
