The South Sydney Rabbitohs defeated the New Zealand Warriors 30-10

This game we see the 3rd place Warriors take on the 5th placed Rabbitohs. The conditions were extremly wet and the Warriors took full advantage. The home side struck first off the back of a few penalties on the Rabbitohs line a short ball from Luke saw Agnatius Paasi score next to the posts.

Moments later a shift to the right from Adam Reynolds on last tackle almost came up with a Souths try however it was stopped by a brilliant try saving tackle from Warriors Captain Roger Tuivasa-Sheck. Driving up the field Thomas Burgess was sin binned after pushing Issac Luke's face whilst on the ground as well as being the next penalty after the official warning from the referees.

Next points came the way of the visitors due to brute strength from George Burgess after the tackle count was reset a pass from dummy half saw George Burgess run through the middle of the field close to the line and carried a few Warriors players over the line and he did well to keep the arm carrying the ball off the ground. Adam Reynolds made the conversion leveling the scores at 6-6 with 15 minutes gone.

Souths struck again minutes later off a shift to the left and a brilliant pass from Inglis saw Robert Jennings go over in the corner untouched scoring his 8th try this season.

The Warriors started the game with all the momentum but the tides quickly shifted as the Rabbitohs ran in their third consecutive try. A block play and a double pump dummy from Cody Walker saw Angus Crichton get the ball 1 on 1 with Solomone Kata and with a swift offload Greg Inglis went over.

Things didn't get much better for the home side as the kickoff to restart the game went out on the full. The Rabbitohs didn't waste any time however as Thomas Burgess went over to score and the conversion took the visitors out to a 22-6 lead with 7 minutes remaining in the half.

The half came to a close with the score in favour of the Rabbitohs leading 22-6.

It didn't take the visitors long to extend their lead with poor direction on the 4th tackle the Rabbitohs threw two long balls back to the other side of the field seeing John Sutton run through the line to score next to the posts.

Nothing happened for about 20 minutes until Tohu Harris was sin binned for a professional foul attempting to tackle John Sutton stopping what could have been a try. Adam Reynolds went for the two points instead extending the Rabbitohs lead out to 30-6.

A sin binning late in the game to Sam Burgess saw the Warriors spread the ball and Solomone Kata scored in the corner. At this point the game was already over and the Rabbitohs won 30-10. This win marks the clubs 4th straight win since 2016 as well as Souths 4th straight road win for the first time since 2014.
