The Rhinos would stride out to an early lead of 22 points in 22 minutes, Rhiannon Marshall and Suze Hill both crossing for opening day tries, captain Lois Forsell then grabbed a double against her former club to put the Rhinos way out in front. Bradford would respond through Leah Jones and Amy Hardcastle would peg the game back to 22-12 going into the half. Amy Johnson would be the next Rhino to make the scoresheet as she went over from close range, 10 minutes later Bradford would once more bite back, Moroney crossing to make it 28-16 with 5 minutes left to play. Charlotte Booth would wrap up the scoring to make it 32-16 to the Rhinos at the final hooter.

Burke grabbed her second and Gaskin completed her hat-trick with a quick double to send Saints in 30-0 at the half. The game was unfortunately suspended just after halftime after a serious injury to Pip Birchall thankfully she has been cleared of any serious injury after being taken to hospital. The game then resumed as Williams grabbed her second of the match and Burke then completed her hat-trick, the game was then abandoned after a second serious injury, the officials calling the game off, there is no news on the second players condition but we wish both a speedy recovery regardless of the severity.

Wigan Warriors 50 - 0 Featherstone Rovers

It would have been far easier to list the players that didn't score for Wigan in this game, Kate McMullan and Rebecca Greenfield grabbed one try, whereas, Vanessa Temple, Sarah Harrison, Rachel Thompson, Georgia Wilson all scored doubles for the Warriors as they recorded a huge opening day victory.
