Wigan Warriors vs Hull KR Super League Round 9 Preview

Both of these side come into round 9 after being edged out of their games by their round 8 opponents, meaning that they are looking to make up for lost points, Wigan currently sitting in 2nd and rovers sitting in 11th in the Super League standings.

These two sides last met in 2016, Wigan claiming both wins in the regular season, the first game a 30-16 victory, the second 20-18. Hull KR have won just one of the last 16 meetings between these two, a 22-20 home win back in the 2015 season. The Rovers last away victory over the warriors coming all the way back in Round 13 of the 2009 Super League season.

Wigan make 3 changes from last round's defeat squad, Tautai, O'Loughlin and Wooods all rested, Sarginson, Ganson and Hamlin all coming in to the squad. Hull Kingston Rovers are still without their two most senior players, Danny McGuire and Shaun Lunt both left out of the 19 after failing late fitness tests, they are replaced by Will Dagger and Will Oakes.

I'm going to have to back the Warriors for this fixture, Hull KR aren't at full strength and have a very poor record against Wigan, even more so at the DW. Wigan are out to right last week's wrongs and I'm sure they will be looking to try and post big points in this game, I'm going Wigan by 12+.
