Wigan Warriors vs Castleford Tigers Super League Round 12 Preview

These two sides meet for the first time this season after their Round 6 fixture fell victim to the bad weather earlier in the year. These two sides had polar opposite round 11 games, Wigan a side that were a shadow of the team that had featured in previews weeks, and  then there's Castleford, slowly and meticulously picking apart the Dragons and finding a good rhythm early on.

The Tigers did the triple over Wigan last year, this isn't something that happens so often, the last 5 meetings prior going in the favour of the Warriors. This will be an interesting contest between two of Super League's in form teams, the Warriors currently on a 3 game winning streak and a Tigers win would also put them at 3 in a row.

The Tigers are unchanged from the 19 that destroyed the Dragons at the Mend-A-Hose, this means that they are still without Greg Eden and Junior Moors through injury. Wigan make one change to the side that ran out late winners at Leeds last week, Ben Flower is back from a concussion and replaces Gabe Hamlin in Wigan's 19.

Castleford Tigers: James Clare, Matt Cook, Jamie Ellis, Alex Foster, Luke Gale, Oliver Holmes, Nathan Massey, Mike McMeeken, Paul McShane, Grant Millington, Adam Milner, Greg Minikin, Ben Roberts, Michael Shenton, Gadwin Springer, Jake Trueman, Joe Wardle, Liam Watts, Jake Webster.

Wigan Warriors: John Bateman, Joe Burgess, Tony Clubb, Morgan Escare, Liam Farrell, Oliver Gildart, Ben Flower, Willie Isa, Tommy Leuluai, Liam Marshall, Romain Navarette, Sean O'Loughlin, Sam Powell, Dan Sarginson, Ryan Sutton, Talima Tautai, Joel Tomkins, Sam Tomkins, Sam Powell.

I'm going to back the Tigers in this one, if the same Wigan side that showed up last week play the way they did, it will be a larger than 8 point gap they will have to recover from, I expect that the Warriors will have learned from last week and Wane will have read them the riot act but I still don't anticipate that being enough, Tigers by 7-12.
