Salford Red Devils vs Wakefield Trinity Super League Round 12 Preview

Wakefield will be filled with confidence after getting one over on the league leaders and ending their 5 game losing streak, Salford too claimed 2 points last week, beating Super League basement dwellers Huddersfield in convincing style.

The last meeting between these two sides was a close affair, Wakefield running out 14-12 winners on the day but came close to being on the losing side after a late Salford surge. That win now means that Wakefield have won 4 of the last 5 meetings between these two clubs, Salford's last victory coming back in Round 16 of the 2016 season, that win coming at the AJ Bell in a 38-8 victory.

Salford make two changes to last week's winning side, Lee Mossop and Josh Jones are the two absentees, they are replaced by Tyrone McCarthy and Luke Burgess as the only changes. Wakefield make just one change to last week's victorious squad, Pauli Pauli is back from injury and replaces Chris Annakin to pack a punch up the middle of the park.

Salford Red Devils: Greg Johnson, Kris Welham, Junior Sa'u, Niall Evalds, Robert Lui, Jack Littlejohn, Craig Kopczak, Logan Tomkins, george Griffin, Weller Hauraki, Mark Flanagan, Lami Tasi, Ryan Lannon, Luke Burgess, Tyrone McCarthy, Ben Nakubuwai, Josh Wood, Jake Bibby, Jake Shorrocks.

Wakefield Trinity: Tinirau Arona, Joe Arundel, Matty Ashurst, Jordan Baldwinson, Anthony England, Liam Finn, Scott Grix, Keegan Hirst, Justin Horo, Craig Huby, Tom Johnstone, Ben Jones-Bishop, Danny Kirmond, Reece Lyne, Jacob Miller, Pauli Pauli, Tyler Randell, Bill Tupou, Kyle Wood.

I'm Backing Wakefield to make this their 5th consecutive win over the Red Devils, Trinity will be back playing some of their best Rugby League and full of confidence after picking up their first win since the 4th of March. Salford have been playing very well with Robert Lui really steering the Red Devils around the park, however, I've got the feeling that Trinity will be the side that show up for this one, Wakefield to win by 7-12.
