Game Preview:
We have another rivalry game on our hands. The Sydney Roosters are coming off a disappointing loss at the hands of the Rabbitohs and are performing well below everyone’s expectations. The Roosters forward pack seems to be where all the fingers are being pointed and I can’t argue the point. After being demolished through the middle last week, the Roosters big boys will need to step up if they are to win this game. Especially against the Dogs pack coming off a big performance.

The Bulldogs are coming into this game off the back of a convincing win against the Cowboys. The Cowboys are quite the mess right now, and many aren’t taking this Bulldogs win to seriously, however a win is a win. The Bulldogs have been below average so far this season, and sit in 14th place on the ladder, but lucky for them their forward pack is coming off a big win, and has the chance to dominate the Roosters pack and possibly come away with the win tonight.

Key Match Ups.

Match Up #1: Kieran Foran vs Cooper Cronk.

Kieran Foran has been quite good this season and actually proving to be a decent signing for the Bulldogs. He will need a good performance tonight if they are to win.

Cooper Cronk hasn’t lived up to the pay check so far. However we must all remember he’s coming into a new system after a career spent at Melbourne. He will take time to come around. However you can never write off Cronk at any time.

Match Up #2: Moses Mbye vs James Tedesco.

Moses Mbye has been a superstar since moving to fullback. This could be one of the mastermind moves of the season, and it’s been paying off. However taking on one of the best backlines in the game, he will need a blinder performance.

James Tedesco has been a huge let down in 2018 so far. He most definitely has NOT lived up to his expectations and pay rate. However we all know what Teddy can do, and when he start finding form in his new team, we are all in trouble.

Match Up #3: Props vs Props.

The Bulldogs big boys have been way to quiet this season. What was last year’s Australian #8 and #10, they sure haven’t played like it at club level in 2018 so far. A big performance last week got them the big win, and another big performance can get them the win this week.

The Roosters forward’s performance is the talking point of the club’s fan base so far this season. They have been pushed around and dominated all season, and it’s a huge reason to why they aren’t converting losses into wins. The big boys up front will need to lift, especially to the expectations placed on them. If they step up, the Roosters win. Simple.

Stonecold’s Prediction: Roosters by 8.
Surely.... surely the Roosters can’t lose another one! A loss this week can drop them out of the top 8. I just don’t see them losing 2 in a row. However I won’t be surprised to see the Bulldogs get up here. I’m sticking by the Roosters tonight but.
