The Gold Coast Titans defeated the Brisbane Broncos 26-14

Game Review:

Well this definitely was upset of the round. Not many people would have tipped the Titans to defeat the Broncos, let alone at Suncorp.

The Titans bounced back from a dismal Round 3 performance in which they gave up 54 points. This game today marked the second time the Titans have ever beat the Broncos and boy did they make it count.

Both sides on the stat side were pretty even, with the only major difference being the Broncos winning the penalty count 11-4.

Gold Coast got off to an extremely fast start with young Sami scoring in the second minute and with Dale Copley scoring just 3 minutes later. The Broncos were the next to score in the 25th minute through Andrew McCullough but that didn't last long until the Titans hit back once again through Phillip Sami. The Titans headed into the break leading 16-8.

Things continued to go against the home side once the second half commenced with the Titans running in two more tries within the first 10 minutes. Not all was lost for the Broncos with Kodi Nikorima scoring untouched after some lazy defending and a nice dummy and step saw the young halfback stroll through the defensive line.

Not much happened for the rest of the game with neither side able to score again.
