Leeds Rhinos vs Wigan Warriors Super League Round 11 Preview

Leeds play host to a Wigan side that have lost just one of their last 6 Super League games after picking up two points against Catalans in round 10, Leeds come into this fixture after claiming a late winner against Wakefield last week in a hard fought victory.

These two sides met 3 times last season Leeds winning 2 and losing 1, the two wins were both at Headingley, the closest result being a Leeds 8 point victory the highest was 34 points as Wigan held Leeds to 0 at the DW. These two sides are hard to separate on form, both sides claiming 5 wins out of the last 10 meetings between each other, however, Wigan have only left Headingley with the win once on the last 5 attempts.

The Rhinos welcome back three big names coming into a difficult match, Adam Cuthbertson returns from a hand injury that has kept him out for two months, Brett Delaney and Joel Moon also return from injury to be named in the Rhinos 19 man squad. Wigan make just the one change to the side that beat Catalans, Morgan Escare replaces the injured Ben Flower in Wigan's 19 man squad.

Leeds Rhinos: Ashton Golding, Tom Briscoe, Kallum Watkins, Ryan Hall, Joel Moon, Richie Myler, Adam Cuthbertson, Matt Parcell, Brad Singleton, Jamie Jones-Buchanan, Carl Ablett, Stevie Ward, Brad Dwyer, Brett Delaney, Anthony Mullally, Ash Handley,Cameron Smith, Mikolaj Oledzki, Josh Walters.

Wigan Warriors: John Bateman, Joe Burgess, Tony Clubb, Morgan Escare, Liam Farrell, Oliver Gildart, Gabe Hamlin, Willie Isa, Tommy Leuluai, Liam Marshall, Romain Navarette, Sean O'Loughlin, Sam Powell, Dan Sarginson, Ryan Sutton, Talima Tautai, Joel Tomkins, Sam Tomkins, Sam Powell.

I'm predicting a close scoreline between these two sides, both have looked good in the opening 10 rounds and are carrying minimal injuries. I'm going to have to back the Rhinos in this one, they will not want to see one of their biggest rivals leave Headingley with 2 points and based on recent history that will be a challenge, Leeds by 7-12.
