A low scoring game as the Sharks hold on.

Gold Coast Titans 9 Cronulla Sharks 10

Round 6 of the ANZAC round seen the Cronulla Sharks travel up to the Gold Coast and they were welcomed with a constant drizzle from the weather Gods. After an early mistake from Hurrell he was first to cross the try line in the 4th minute but some gutsy goal line defence were able to hold him up. After both sides both went close to scoring again it was the Titans with first points through a Gordon penalty goal.

A Townsend bomb dropped by Gordon lead to the first try of the night with Ramien collecting the loose ball and giving it onto Holmes.

Both sides went set for set until just before the end of the half, but a bit of continuous pressure from the Sharks on the Titans line finally resulted in the second try of the match through Lee on the left wing.

The second unsuccessful kick from Townsend seen the Titans down by 6, but with a Townsend field goal in the final seconds of the half they the Sharks went to the sheds with a 7 point lead.

The Titans were first on the board in the second half through a Mitch Rein run from dummy half, though it was due to the ref taking the decision to the bunker as a try and they were unable to change the decision on the evidence available. With Gordon converting the try the Titans trailed by 1.

Points wise nothing else happened in the second half, with both sides going set for set making mega meters but unable to capitalise. That was until Ash Taylor sloted a field goal to equal the score at 9 all with 3 minutes 40 on the clock.

Unfortunately for the Titans though Townsend nailed his second field goal of the match with a little over 1 minute to go and the Titans couldnt strike back.
