Bulldogs maul the Cowboys

Cowboys 10 defeated by the Bulldogs 27

The match at Townsville started slow, with Bulldogs taking a 4 point lead by the 15th minute mark with 2 penalty goals by Mbye.

The Bulldogs got the first try of the night just before the 20th minute after a Foran kick ricocheted of the head of Thurston and some quick hands had Montoya over in the corner. Another penalty goal next set had the Bulldogs up 12 nil after 21.

The Bulldogs went down to 12 man after Fine was placed in the bin after the Bulldogs gave away 6 penalties in a row. But that didn't stop Faitala-Mariner going over moments after returning to the field after a HIA after what looked like a forward pass, with the conversion the Dogs took a 18-0 lead and with a Foran field goal on the bell it was 19 nil at the end of the half.

Adam Elliot somehow finds his way to the line 10 minutes into the second half extending the Bulldogs lead and with the conversion from Mbye it was 25-0 and the Cowboys were finished.

The Cowboys eventually got on the board through Feldt in the 60th minute and with Thurstons conversion the lead was back to 19.

Mbye gets his 7th goal of the night through a penalty in the 76th minute to take the score to 27-6. The Cowboys pushed for a late try and got one through Hampton, with the game finishing 27-10
