Wigan Warriors vs Wakefield Trinity Super League Round 5 Preview

Wigan host one of Super League's form teams on Saturday Afternoon in the shape of a 4 wins from 4 Wakefield Trinity, Trinity have been scoring points from absolutely everywhere, this will be a game with some fantastic tries from both sets of talented wingers.

Wakefield hold a fairly good recent record against the Warriors, wining 2 out of their 3 meetings last season, including their 32 to points to nil in the Super 8's to finish their 2017 campaign, the Warriors will certainly feel their is a score to settle on that front.
The Warriors have named a relatively unchanged squad that fell to Warrington in their last Super League fixture, Joel Tomkins is the only notable loss as he is side-lined with knee swelling, Gabe Hamlin also looks set to feature for the Warriors after being named in their 19 man squad. Wakefield are bolstered by the return of Horo, Lyne and most prominently Tyler Randell, Randell has missed two and a half months of Rugby League after sustaining an injury in the annual Boxing Day fixture against Leeds, his return will be a welcome site for Trinity fans and players.

Wigan Warriors - John Bateman, Joe Burgess, Tony Clubb, Tom Davies, Morgan EscarĂ©, Liam Farrell, Ben Flower, Oliver Gildart, Gabe Hamlin, Willie Isa, Tommy Leuluai, Liam Marshall, Romain Navarrete, Sean O’Loughlin, Sam Powell, Ryan Sutton, Taulima Tautai, Sam Tomkins, George Williams.

Wakefield Trinity - Tinirau Arona, Matty Ashurst, Anthony England, David Fifita, Liam Finn, Scott Grix, Ryan Hampshire, Keegan Hirst, Justin Horo, Craig Huby, Tom Johnstone, Ben Jones-Bishop, Danny Kirmond, Reece Lyne, Jacob Miller, Pauli Pauli, Tyler Randell, Bill Tupou, Kyle Wood.

Wakefield are a side playing with so much confidence at the minute, they are finishing every opportunity that comes their way and Liam Finn is yet again doing a fantastic job of keeping the side organised. The return of key players is only going to make them even stronger, so I'm going with Wakefield by 12+ points.
