Round 3 Review: Roosters vs Knights

Sydney Roosters defeated the Newcastle Knights 38-8

Game Review:

In what was expected to be an entertaining game, It did not leave us disappointed. The Roosters put on a clinic, watching all these new combinations between Cronk, Keary and Tedesco unfold was something special.
Now Tedesco did not have him best game tonight, however he looked dangerous just floating around the back hover around Cooper Cronk. Cronk on the other hand, showed us why he is still one of the best halves in the competition. He was busy and solid in defence with 12 tackles. However it was his attack which impressed me the most, with his 4 Try-assists.

On the other side, we had the Knights. The Knights still have a question mark over what they can do this season and if they can make a charge for the Top 8 come the end of the season. We saw flashes of brilliance from this side. However for every flash of brilliance we saw, we saw a brain snap to compensate it.

Early on in the game the Roosters stuck fast and they struck early through Latrell Mitchell, however nothing really happened for another 20 minutes or so. The Knights scored a nice try through the hands of Mitchell Pearce to Aidan Guerra and from here the Roosters just found another gear and everything they did it seemed to work.

The Roosters showed an outstanding effort in defence tonight, shutting down the Knights numerous times on the goal line. Which this looked like to be the major difference between the two sides.
