Round 4 Review: Sydney Roosters vs New Zealand Warriors

Source: nrl.com

The Warriors defeated the Roosters 30-6. Review: Both teams were riding on huge wins in round 3, however it was the Warriors who showed up to play and punished the Roosters for every error that they made. Missing Shaun Johnson being ruled out in the pre game, young Mason Lino who was playing in only his 11th first grade game, easily stepped up and filled the shoes having an outstanding game. The Roosters came out of the gates with all cylinders firing with a beautiful block play in the third minute which saw Latrell Mitchell cross close to the corner. From this point it was all the Warriors. The visitors stuck back not long after with a brilliant short ball to Tohu Harris put him through the line before a late offload saw Mason Lino score for his first try.

The Warriors forward pack seemed to out muscle and out run the Roosters forwards who for a majority of the game looked tired and was moving backwards. The penalty count wasn't as drastic as last night however even with the 11 penalties to the Roosters they just couldn't find themselves with points.

Huge wrap to the Warriors for their goal line defence, they never gave up and slide well to shut down what attack the Roosters threw at them.

The Roosters never really seemed to be in control this game, the Warriors were just too good tonight. The question is, if they perform like this can they win the comp?
