Round 2 Warriors vs Titans review

New Zealand Warriors 20 defeated the Gold Coast Titans 8.

The Warriors start the season with two from two for only the third time in their history after defeating the Titans who were missing Ash Taylor.

It was always going to be an uphill battle for the Titans with Ash Taylor being ruled out due to a hamstring injury. Taylor has had a hand in more than half of the Titans tries since his debut for the club.

A Michael Gordon penalty goal gave the Titans a 2 point lead early on but the next 70 minutes was all Warriors football as they scored 20 unanswered points with Fusitu'a getting a double.

The Titans scored a late try with winger Anthony Don picking up a lovely kick put through by Hurrell but unfortunately for the Titans that was the only highlight of the game.

Key point of the match:
A 12 point turn around when Titans winger Sami dropped the ball over the line and off that very next Warriors set Fusitu'a goes in the score.

Boom's player of the match:
Roger Tuivasa-Sheck
