Saturday afternoon we returned to the foot of the mountain with the Penrith Panthers aim to go 2 from 2 after a brilliant come from behind victory to upset the Parramatta Eels while the South Sydney Rabbitohs are aiming to get their 2018 campaign back on track after a disappointing first round lost to the warriors.

It's not often Cleary goes into a match as the least experienced half back but with the injury to Reynolds the Rabbitohs have Doueihi filling in and with the poor win/loss record without Adam Reynolds for the bunnies he comes in with a hell of a lot of pressure on a young pair of shoulders. Will he be able to handle it as good as Cleary has these past few seasons or will Cleary take down the Rabbitohs just like he did the Eels last weekend.

In the Battle of the big man you have the mouth watering head to head battles between Burgess and Campbell Gillard, Crichton and Kikau, Murray and Maren just to name a few. In a match that has back lines that can score from any part on the field this will come down to which forward pack can lay the better platform for their young halfs to work their magic.

To round out the key matchups you've got Peter Wallace, the veteran who was unfortunately injured last year come Origin time and missed out on yet another Blues jersey, up against Damien Cook who has received complete support from his coach getting the nod over Robbie Farah for the starting nine position.

Wallace will be plain yet effective helping Cleary controlling the middle of the field, as he's done so well since he's moved to hooker, while on the other side of the field Cook will have the extra pressure now that Reynolds is out and it wouldn't surprise me if he's running game is used to it's full potential and he gets well into the 100m plus this weekend and sets up or scores a try or 2.

South Sydney have proven they can't win in the password out Adam Reynolds and I can't see that changing this weekend. Though I'm tipping Penrith i don't expect it to be a massive margin. Panthers 1-6.
