Nath’s Monday Signings and Rumours

Another Round down and some more signings and rumours have popped up during the week.

Brisbane Broncos:
The Broncos are at risk of losing winger Corey Oates. It’s known that Oates’ future is in the second row but with Alex Glenn and Matt Gillett occupying that position in brisbane he may have to look elsewhere. South Sydney and Melbourne have shown interest so far.

Cronulla Sharks:
After a 0-2 start the Sharks could lose fullback/winger Valentine Holmes. Holmes is rumoured to be in talks with a return up home to North Queensland.

North Queensland Cowboys:
Former Cowboy Ashton Sims could end up at the club for a farewell year next season. While it’s only a rumour at this stage Sims could add some depth to an already bolstered forward pack.

Manly Sea Eagles:
Api Koroisau and Curtis Sironen have agreed to new contract extensions to stay at the club for another 3 seasons. Problem is the club can’t register it with the NRL. The club came under scrutiny in the off-season with a salary cap scandal hanging over its head. It seems it still is as the NRL won’t register any new contracts with the club until the matter is resolved.

St George Illawarra Dragons:
The Dragons are looking to bolster their forward pack even more and are looking to bring Korbin Sims down from the Broncos. A Gerringong Lions junior Sims could link up with his brother Tariq.

Sydney Roosters:
The Roosters have added some depth to their hooker ranks with former Raiders hooker Kurt Baptiste cutting his Leigh career short to have another crack at the NRL.

Tune in next week for my rumours and signings blog.

Nath
