Holmes Extends Tigers Stay

26 year-old forward, Oliver Holmes, has resigned with the Castleford Tigers for a further 2 years, keeping him at the Jungle until the end of 2020 the season.
Holmes has over 150 first grade Super League appearances to his name since his debut in 2010, scoring 26 tries in that time.

Holmes is a regular starter for the Tigers and will likely hit the 200 appearance mark before the end of his new extended contract.

The Mirror Sport are reporting that the trio have left the club with immediate effect by mutual consent, after an incident on a training camp in Portugal.

Ryan Bailey is no stranger to controversy, in late 2017 the former Rhino tested positive for illegal substances, Bailey won an appeal against the findings, but many still had their doubts over the Rugby League renegade.


Taylor and Moi Moi have both lead relatively reputable careers until this incident, Taylor of course caught in the Gold Coast Titans Cocaine scandal but was never charged. Speculation online is pointing towards a breach of club rules, in relation to how a representative should conduct themselves in public.

The official statement made by the Wolfpack didn't state one cause behind the decision, instead keeping it vague and calling the decision "mutual consent", sounding more like jump before you're pushed.

Frank-Paul Set For Warriors Exit

Nu'uausala has reportedly signed an agreement with Wests Rosellas, that will see him leave Wigan before the season starts.

The former Kiwi International hasn't made much of an impact in Super League since his arrival, playing 24 games for Wigan in his two seasons with the club.

While Wigan are yet to make an official statement, Frank-Paul has told Rosellas coach, Matt Lantry, he will be in Newcastle next week to begin preparations with his new club.

Nu'uausala is still in the UK at the moment, trying to finalise things on his end so he can obtain a formal release from his contract, the New Zealand forward has been out of favour for a while, so Wigan should be fine with him leaving the club.

An official statement from Wigan is expected early next week.

Eels Bad Boy On His Way To UK?

Kenny Edwards has hinted on his Instagram that he will sign with a new team outside of Australia and opening up speculation that he may be on his way to Super League or Toronto.


The Eels outcast was released from his contract, by a mutual decision at the request of his management, earlier this month due to a string of disciplinary issues, Edwards made comments at the beginning of the year stating that he would like to re-invent himself and be a better role model for his family.

Whenever someone leaves the NRL they are immediately linked with the Toronto Wolfpack, Edwards has also been linked with a move to injury riddled Leeds and Hull as their resources are thinning through the course of the season, Wigan have also emerged as a potential new home as they look set to lose Ryan Sutton and John Bateman at the close of the season.

The New Zealand born forward brings with him plenty of first grade NRL experience, with over 70 appearances for the Eels since his debut back in 2013.
